Peeling the Onion

PTO is our 12-Step tribes with a spiritual emphasis, which allow you to delve deep into your past to gain healing from past anger, abuse, resentments, shame, guilt, fears, and sexual misconduct that continue to affect your present and future. This is a 6-month commitment with a tribe of either men or women. There are three identical orientation meetings happening in the cafe: Sunday, April 28, 2:30; Monday, April 29, 6:30; Sunday, May 5, 2:30.

Urban Millennials

A tribe of 20/30- somethings that eat, pray, and do life together. We share a meal with each other every week on alternating Mondays and Tuesdays. We’ll have a conversation about what we’ve learned in the church the Sunday before.

CityChurch Young Adults

CityChurch Young Adults positive community young adults 18-26) that meets together weekly to have dinner, discuss scripture, and experience life together. If you are a young adult, looking for an awesome community of people, this is the tribe for you!

Beacon Hill Tutors

Beacon Hill Tutors is a tribe of volunteers that are tutoring small groups of students during and after school at Beacon Hill Academy. We will meet weekly on Monday evenings for fellowship, planning, and prayer for one another and the school as a whole.

Women at the Well

The Women's Ministry at City Church Downtown, exists to help women walk in freedom and extraordinary faith. Creation To Christ

From Creation to Jesus, this tribe will take you through the entire Old Testament using the major stories. This 10-week tribe has no fees, books or homework.

Strong Foundation - First Wednesday, Monthly

Boundaries Study

Having clear boundaries is essential to a healthy, balanced lifestyle. A boundary is a personal property line that marks those things for which we are responsible. In other words, boundaries define who we are and who we are not. This study going through the book written by Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend offer biblically-based ideas on how to set healthy boundaries with our parents, spouses, children, friends, co-workers, and even ourselves.

A Beautiful Design Study

In this tribe, we will be studying through the series “A Beautiful Design” by Matt Chandler.  This study gives evidence that God’s plan for man and woman is the ultimate design and life lived within this beautiful and unchanging design leads to our greatest joy. This is also a good tribe to go to if you have gone through PTO and you’re looking for a good next step.

The Bridge

This tribe will meet on the 3rd Friday of every month to deliver food, water, clothing, and the Good News to San Antonio’s homeless population. We will strive to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of our brothers and sisters dealing with homelessness.

Walking With a Mission

Couples, singles, young and old are all invited to join us at the Mission San Juan walking trail. While on our two mile walk we will spend some time talking and praying.
