Peeling the Onion

PTO is our 12-Step tribes with a spiritual emphasis, which allow you to delve deep into your past to gain healing from past anger, abuse, resentments, shame, guilt, fears, and sexual misconduct that continue to affect your present and future. This is a 6-month commitment with a tribe of either men or women. There are three identical orientation meetings happening in the cafe: Sunday, April 28, 2:30; Monday, April 29, 6:30; Sunday, May 5, 2:30.

Urban Millennials

A tribe of 20/30- somethings that eat, pray, and do life together. We share a meal with each other every week on alternating Mondays and Tuesdays. We’ll have a conversation about what we’ve learned in the church the Sunday before.

When/Where: 7:00 PM, rotates Monday or Tuesday weekly; meets at various locations.

Conquer Series for Men

This 10-week life-changing discipleship curriculum provides insights from top Christian leaders who lay out biblical strategies and scientific facts. This will also teach men how to use God’s weapons to become conquerors in spiritual purity. Email to register; closed after the first class.

CityChurch Young Adults

CityChurch Young Adults positive community young adults 18-26) that meets together weekly to have dinner, discuss scripture, and experience life together. If you are a young adult, looking for an awesome community of people, this is the tribe for you!

Women at the Well

The Women's Ministry at City Church Downtown, exists to help women walk in freedom and extraordinary faith. Our mission is to encourage women to seek the heart of God and his teachings as a means to discovering his extraordinary plan for their lives. Join us as we go through different biblical teachings at each meeting.

Strong Foundation - First Wednesday, Monthly

Partnering with Strong Foundation, a local faith-based ministry for homeless families, we play with kids for an hour while parents are in Bible study. Before serving the first time, please view “Our Story” video at Strong Foundation’s website:

Motorcycle Tribe

At each meeting the tribe will meetup with their motorcycles and set off on a ride. The hope of this tribe is to encourage motorcycle riders through rides and prayers with one another. this tribe rides together once a month and meets up two other times.

When: Bible study 2nd Wednesday of the month; ride third saturday of the month; guys bible study last saturday of the month

DIvine health

Each week, this tribe will meet to help us heal our bodies through food, fitness, fasting and prayer.  During this tribe we will support one another through our struggles and encourage healthy eating and healthy habits. Also, we plan to incorporate three cooking schools to show tribe members quick and easy ways to make meals for themselves and their families.

The Bridge

This tribe will meet on the 3rd Friday of every month to deliver food, water, clothing, and the Good News to San Antonio’s homeless population. We will strive to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of our brothers and sisters dealing with homelessness.

When: 3rd Fridays - 5:30 (at CCDT) 6 PM (At cam)

Where: City Church downtown at 5:30 pm and then to CAM (110 McCullough Ave) at 6 PM

Walking With a Mission

Couples, singles, young and old are all invited to join us at at the San Antonio Missions trails and other locations. While on our two mile walk we will spend some time talking and praying.

This men’s tribe is all about enjoying some fellowship by playing basketball and then praying. All basketball skill levels welcome.

Fellowship of of men and women who share their experiences, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.

Childcare is available for Monday, Tuesday & Thursday evening tribes meeting at CityChurch Downtown. Reservations are required by noon the day of the tribe meeting.

When/Where: 6:30-8:30 PM, KidCity: Babies - 2 yrs room (2nd floor).

Free parking is available in the two lots beside and east of the Cameo Theater and Spire chapel, with some additional street parking around St. Paul Square. There is a section of pay-to-park slots on Hoefgen. Please be aware of your parking area and adhere to posted parking signs.
